Race, Place and the De-Gentrification of Nature Conservation in the South

What: A public lecture by Dr. Drew Lanham

How does race impact the prism of nature in the Southeast? What impacts do traditional conservation efforts have on expanding the conservation conversation beyond the largely homogeneous (white/wealthy) choir?

As we move forward in ways to become more inclusive as a conservation community, the importance of considering under-served populations must move to the forefront if nature is to be “saved.”

When: Wednesday, March 14, 6pm-9pm

Where: SSMB Auditorium, 202 Calhoun St.

No registration required.
