SC Aquarium to Host ‘March to a Million’ Virtual Celebration

Our friends at the SC Aquarium invite you to join them for March to a Million, a virtual celebration of citizen science and the fight against plastic pollution in the Lowcountry.

March to a Million Virtual Celebration
Tuesday, October 13, 2020
6pm-7pm
via Zoom

“You did it! You picked up, properly disposed of and documented over 1 million items of debris in the Litter-free Digital Journal! This is an exciting milestone to reach in just over three years since the launch of the project. As promised, we want to thank you and celebrate you, the members that made it possible.

Grab your favorite beverage and your computer or mobile device on Tuesday, October 13 from 6 – 7 p.m. for an online celebration. You’ll be welcomed by South Carolina Aquarium President and CEO, Kevin Mills, and have the unique opportunity to hear from two of the greatest minds in global plastic pollution and data collection, Dr. Marcus Eriksen and Anna Cummins, cofounders of The 5 Gyres Institute. Celebrate with us as we virtually present awards and learn how your data is combatting plastic pollution. ”
