Keep Charleston Beautiful has recycling collection campaigns that run throughout the year for hard-to-recycle specialty items. Collection of these items occurs at 823 Meeting Street, during regular business hours. Items collected for specialty recycling include: Natural Wine Corks, Cigarette Butts and Tobacco Packaging, Razors and Razor Packaging, LED/CFL Light Bulbs, and Household Batteries. If possible, please let us know in advance if you plan to drop items by the office. - South Carolina Memorial Reef
“The South Carolina Memorial Reef exists to forever memorialize those who share a love for the ocean and the great sportfishing resources of SC. Through innovative projects, important collaborations and the help of generous donors, the reef provides critical habitat for a variety of vulnerable deepwater species, while attracting pelagics such as billfish, tuna and wahoo to the area. It serves to enhance the outstanding offshore fishing opportunities off the state’s coast. We invite you to get involved.”
