From our partners at Charleston Climate Coalition…
As India faces a historic heat wave and hurricane season looms, the climate-concerned among us ask: how do we do our part to reverse this? How do we transform our home into a jewel of climate action?
Together.
Please join us Wednesday, May 25th, 6:30pm at the Main Branch Library Auditorium on Calhoun St. for the CCC May Meeting. We’ll have plant-based soup courtesy of the Stonesoup Collective, a grounding from yogi Alex Seaman, a Mobility Month check-in with Katie Zimmerman of Charleston Moves, and a whole bunch of climate action update goodness from Dr. Jen Wright and Belvin Olasov. We’ll also have hands-on ways to get you plugged in to the Lowcountry climate movement.
Sneak peek: it’s been a year since the Charleston Climate Action Plan was passed. Where is it at, and how can we push and assist to make its proposals a reality?
Sneak peek II: we believe all people have the right to a healthy and livable climate. Can we pass that right as a law locally, thus opening the door to violators of that right — climate polluters — to be challenged legally?
See you there!
